About me

Hello!
My name's Jazz, I'm a 24 year old, non-binary (she/they), french canadian filmmaker. Currently studying at Concordia University majoring in film animation. I believe animation is an art form where audio and visuals work together to create a unique experience.

Got into filmmaking at a young age. I started doing short stop motion projects with my toys and my dad's camera in my bedroom. I then evolved my creative side into different outlets. Music, drawing, acting etc. 

I first did 3 years of art school in ce ep before getting into my major in animation. Where I learned how to draw, sculpt, paint etc. I also discovered my passion for rubber ducks (hihi). Although I love visual arts, I was never really good with my hands. Getting into art school, I wanted to prove that you can create great projects without being artistically «gifted».

Although animation is one of my greatest passion, I'm also a classically trained musician. I've been playing the clarinet since 2012 for different harmonies and small orchestras. I always enjoy fusing visuals and my music creating 100% original experiences.

I also own a small Etsy shop called The Jazz Boutique where I make pinback buttons and other little goodies! Just a small and affordable way to share my craft!
